Presented by MaryClare Lawrence, J.D.
Course: This 1 ½ hour presentation will address the importance of having a professional will (CE credits can be applied towards Ethic requirements). Like most people, psychologists hope and assume that they will die in bed, at a great age, or long after they have stopped seeing clients. Unfortunately, it doesn't always happen that way. This presentation will describe the ramifications of not having a professional will in place. Attendees will also learn what is needed to create a will that meets their responsibilities as practicing psychologists.
Our Speaker: Attorney MaryClare Lawrence, a partner at the Santa Rosa law firm, Conner, Lawrence & Rodney, works with clients of all ages and economic levels in the area of estate planning. Her goal is to create plans that meet the economic needs of clients and their families, as well as help them fulfill their commitments to the broader community. Ms. Lawrence uses the usual estate planning tools to craft plans tailored to the unique strengths, weaknesses and circumstances of each family. She has extensive experience designing plans for disabled individuals, blended families, same-sex couples and their families, as well as the elderly.
The California Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. |
